rest in peace, old friend
What is THAT? A post? Is that a post I see over there? I-is... is this thing not dead yet?
LOA World download???
Ever since I logged on and I was in LOE in survival, I've always thought the server was destroyed. Guess people are still here, at least, on the forums.
Glad to see the forums are still up. If the old girl ever does go down for good, please give map.
Lavectus = DeadlyCatt = Senturian
just felt like finally putting that out there.
I fourth the request for the world map, I still spent countless hours building and playing at my base, that nostalgic value is irreplaceable. I miss LOA dearly, but alas, can't go back in time.
Stay cool nerds.
The LOA server is still up at mc-l.net running 1.8.9. If we decide to shut it down, it will be announced, and the map will be made available. Keep in mind, the LOA world is >250GB. However, while the LOA server is still up and running, the map will, as always, remain unavailable for download.
>250GB!? how will anyone download that?
Probably split into many parts over many days, if it comes to that.
But here's the thing that's special about LOA: It's been the same world since it started way back in 2012, and has had no world border. It's 5 and a half years old. This means that tons of chunks have been created and saved. It's had over 80k unique users log into it. They've all gone off random directions and done random things. The nether has always had a portal near spawn if not at spawn, and for a long time travelling on top of the nether was possible. There are people who are several million blocks out from any of the spawns.
Honestly, creative mode isn't going to help you much while exploring -- there's just too much of it, and I doubt that loading the world into mcedit will work well.
and spawn has changed (twice i think). So if I wanted to see the spawns (if you release the map) what are the cords for the spawns?
(every one, old or new)
